About the wine

Kanonkop is one of South Africa’s best-known producers. Its wines reflect Stellenbosch’s warm climate and granite soils. Kadette Cabernet Sauvignon is a bold red that showcases the variety’s character.

Aroma and palate

Aroma: Intense blackcurrant, ripe plum and dark cherry, with tobacco, spice and notes of chocolate and cedar from oak ageing.
Palate: Full-bodied and structured, with firm tannins, balanced fruit and spice, and a long, elegant finish.

Serving temperature: 16–18 °C
Recommended glass: A Bordeaux-style red wine glass to bring out the wine’s structure and depth.

Food pairings: Grilled or roasted red meat, game, spicy stews and hard or aged cheeses.
